About This Spot

Stepping into The Highbury Pub in Milwaukee is like slipping away to a familiar neighborhood gathering where the pace is easy but the energy hums quietly under the surface. The space welcomes you with a casual warmth, the kind that invites lingering conversations over well-poured drinks and shared excitement over a game on the big screens. It’s the kind of place where the everyday mingles seamlessly with moments of spirited connection, especially when a soccer match is on.

The atmosphere here balances the lively cheers of dedicated fans with the comfort of genuine hospitality. The bartenders make an effort to know their guests, turning a simple drink into a shared story. Whether you’re chatting about your day, swapping sports insights, or just soaking in the vibe, there’s a constant sense of inclusion. It often feels like stepping into a corner pub overseas—a place where the crowd is diverse but united by a love of community and the game.

Beverages are thoughtfully curated, offering a bridge between comforting classics and interesting finds. From a carefully crafted Old Fashioned to a richly poured Red Wine or a distinctive Belgian beer, the drinks complement the convivial spirit without overwhelming it. The focus rests on simply enjoying the moment, making room for both quiet appreciation and enthusiastic toasts.

The Highbury doesn’t only serve as a sports bar but also as a gathering point for local stories and connections. Patrons often come for a match but stay for the shared smiles and unexpectedly kind gestures—a returned card, a nod from a neighbor’s table, a bartender remembering your favored pour. It’s a spot where a dog can be welcome, niche sports requests are met with a smile, and conversations flow as easily as the drinks.

For those who treasure spaces where people feel genuinely present—where a match on the screen is as important as the moment between orders—The Highbury Pub offers a quietly joyful haven. It’s a place to settle in, feel known, and be part of a local rhythm that goes beyond just the bar stools and beers.

Not exactly my type of bar but the employees were really nice and if you I’m looking to watch a soccer match, this is a great place to go. Everyone there was nice, and their beer selection is great

Stopped in for a beverage before lunch. Talked to the bartender about our day and our plans a little bit. It is such a cool place! After our beverage we went down the road to have lunch. While having lunch I see a person from Highburry approaching our table. He hands me my card. I had dropped it in the bathroom and the bartender sent him our way to deliver my card to me ASAP. Thank you so much! I'm not a soccer fan but I will be back!

If you like watching Soccer matches there is not better pub to visit in Milwaukee. It feels like you're stepping into right into pub in England. They have a great beer selection of imports and domestic beers. The bartenders are friendly and the patrons always ready to chat about the match. If you visit be sure to wear your favorite teams kit.

Futbol/Soccer Pub through and through with some of the most amazing people and best atmosphere. Big Arsenal supporter and had stumbled upon this pub due to a recommendation from a friend 5 years ago. I do not live in the Milwaukee area and come from Beloit, WI which is about an hour away so this soccer bar had to be better than the ones in Chicago or Madison areas due to the same proximity to me. Since the first day I arrived for an Arsenal Match I've seen the great atmosphere for any futbol/soccer fan as well as the welcoming atmosphere from everyone there. Joe is the best host to have and plenty of fellow friends to be made no matter if you are not supporting the same team. Needless to say my wife is not a fan of waking up in the early hours some weekends to watch a game but it is beyond worth it to be surrounded by friendly people that all love the sport. While the bar is small, the noise/atmosphere can outdo any of the larger bars in the city without a doubt. Along with this, Joe and other fellow fans will at times collectively bring food or treats for those early 6am games. While I am not regularly there every weekend, I do visit often enough that I know the atmosphere is always great no matter the day. If you happen to be visiting in the area looking for something that has a great soccer atmosphere then come to this pub. Along with this, there are multiple coffee and great food spots around if you don't care to eat there pizza. FYI: If you don't know the Arsenal chants/songs, don't worry because if you are there often enough then you'll start to know them by heart.
